The third in our series of posts of transformation by members at Orangetheory Fitness in Dubai. Our heart-rate monitored group exercise classes in Dubai have helped a lot of people since we opened in May 2018. Today we are catching up with Maia Fahmy, a 23 year old Architect in Dubai:

When we caught up with Maia, we asked her about the exercise before she started training at Orangetheory Fitness:
Before I started at Orangetheory Fitness in Dubai, I was working out moderately around 3 times a week. I am the type of person that needs to be motivated and guided to workout. I felt that going to the gym alone did not give me that extra push that enabled me to reach my full potential.
After seeing one of the posts on our Instagram account (@otfdubai), Maia decided to try OTF because she felt that the workouts at OTF looked balanced and intense, whilst also enjoyable! We asked Maia a few questions:
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT ORANGETHEORY FITNESS?
I love how everyday the workout is new. The fact that you are constantly switching between machines and exercises makes time pass by fast. The team of coaches are extremely friendly and supportive, they push you to workout harder without realizing it. One of my favourite things about OTF is the fact that all body types and fitness levels are welcomed equally, you get a lot of good energy from the people working out in each class around you.
WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN SINCE STARTING AT ORANGETHEORY FITNESS?
OTF has made me realize my capabilities and strengthened my physique. It taught me how to push my body and trick it into doing more than what it used to. Ever since I started, I sleep better and I automatically take care of my food without crash dieting. I used to suffer from lower back pain but that is getting so much better with the workouts at OTF.
HOW HAS ORANGETHEORY FITNESS AFFECTED YOUR GOALS FOR YOUR FITNESS, HEALTH AND WELLBEING?
OTF has completely changed my mentality. I went from someone that dreads working out to someone that HATES rest days. My goal is no longer to become skinny, but to become healthy and fit. I made ALL my friends join OTF with me, it is that hour during the day that we use to meet up and do something fun together to ensure we are all maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
