WONDERING WHAT TO EXPECT?
A lot of the questions we get asked at Orangetheory Fitness have to do with first time nerves. It is completely natural to feel nervous about trying something new but at OTF all those feelings stay at the door.
We asked our friendly team of coaches for their best tips and advice for first timers, who have downloaded their free classpass from our website (click here for more info). Our coaches are there with you in each class, their job is to guide you and motivate you through each workout.
Our top 3 tips?
#1 ARRIVE AT LEAST 15 MINUTES EARLY
Before your first workout your coach spends a minimum of fifteen minutes taking you through the setup of our group exercise class, as well as our OTBeat technology which tracks your heartrate and calorie consumption in real time, providing you with an unparalleled degree of understanding of your body’s capabilities in real-time.
#2 ASK QUESTIONS
The only foolish question is the one left unasked, don’t be nervous, be curious. We are here to share our passion of movement, fitness and health, so whether you are you unsure about how something works or want to know what you should have for breakfast, we welcome your questions anytime.
#3 DON’T TRAIN HUNGRY
Make sure you have enough fuel in your body to give you the energy your body needs to complete a workout. Just make sure you leave a minimum of 2 hours between eating and training.
